MATERNITY

I typically do only a half hour for maternity sessions, unless you also want the extra half hour for very documentary, “life at home” style with pickles or ice cream 😉 And we usually try to schedule maternity sessions around 30 weeks so that you have a belly but are not 100000% over pregnancy yet and totally winded. Please keep your health and current capabilities in mind. My top priority is keeping you healthy while also capturing this moment in time.

NEWBORNS

For newborns I only offer a full hour (or more), so that we have time to change diapers, manage feedings, and cuddle with your new family unit! But moreso, it gives us time to slow down and capture what this new season of life is all about. I’ll probably put baby in their crib or might ask you to cuddle on a couch, but in general it’s very much based in how your family already spends time together <3 Especially if you have other kids already, this one hour minimum is a life saver!!

Regarding scheduling, newborn sessions are hopefully 4-9 days after delivery. It gives you enough time to find a little bit of “normalcy” in your new daily routine, but before that 10 day growth spurt! We can always push it out further though if you’d like more recovery time <3 I just keep your due date on my calendar and always keep my mornings flexible for families.

Frequently Asked Questions

DO WE HAVE PHOTO RIGHTS?

HECK YES!! Everything I deliver is yours. As long as you don’t profit off of your images, or edit the photos (think Instagram filter), you’re good to go! Simultaneously, the images I take, I can use for marketing purposes. That’s how you decided to reach out in the first place!! But if you have any privacy concerns, don’t hesitate to ask.

WITH A DOCUMENTARY STYLE, WILL YOU STILL TAKE POSED PHOTOS?

Absolutely!! Attempting to get the family all smiling together is still important, and I’ll also guide you through various poses like “snuggle over here”. The directions just may be a little more vague. I just don’t expect kids to smile the whole time, and will actively encourage letting kids be kids!

ARE THERE ANY OTHER FEES?

No!! If you have a travel fee, it is already included in your package above. No taxes, and everything beyond what is listed above is optional. If you choose to pay your invoice with a credit card or Paypal, there is a 3% fee, but there are other options with no fee.

HOW DO WE PRINT OUR PHOTOS?

There is a print store within your gallery, and that is the easiest and most reliable place to print your photographs! There are many options from simple prints to cards and more. You do have the right to print elsewhere, but if you go outside of the gallery I just cannot guarantee the quality.

WHAT IF WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE?

Totally fine!! Kids get sick, work happens, some days it unexpectedly rains! As long as we stay in contact, we can make it happen.
