Romantic Minneapolis In-Home Wedding / Liz & Stephen
I started to plan my wedding when I was 5 years old. Sure, the plans changed over time, but I loved planning every detail from the guest list to the bridesmaid dresses. I cant even imagine having those plans uprooted and planning a wedding during Coronavirus. Obviously weddings are about marrying your best friend, and for many people, this comes with a very specific vision. Envisioning walking down the aisle and seeing the cousin who introduced you to your partner. Curating a playlist and imagining your dance partners for each song–including that grade-school best friend who was with you when “Get Low” came out and you pretended you were backup dancers in Step Up.
And all of a sudden, the playlist doesn’t matter. None of those tiny details matter. Liz and Stephen planned their dream wedding on Captiva Island, Florida, and had been anxiously awaiting their magical day. Getting married at their newly-purchased home instead was not their “dream wedding”, but ended up being a total dream in a different way. Now, Liz and Stephen get to walk down their stairs every day and think, “dang, we got married RIGHT THERE!” What a way to start the day (and to start a marriage).
To all 2020 couples: your micro-wedding will 100% be special, romantic, and memorable! I can’t wait to document however you choose to celebrate! If you have any questions, I’m always here for you!
