Danielle and Shahar {Minneapolis Jewish Wedding}

I

I photograph a LOT of weddings, all of which feel inclusive, warm, and joyful! But this was my first traditional Jewish wedding–which is surprising, given that I am Jewish! The last Jewish wedding I attended was my own,  so all of the lovely memories came fluttering back. It felt like home, and my heart is so full!

Okay, less about me. More about this amazing couple! I met Danielle and Shahar for the first time at Freehouse, a super cool restaurant in Minneapolis. Even though I got there early, the couple was already seated, drinks in hand and appetizers ordered!! Their love for food, each other, wine, all things Jewish, and easy conversation meant we became friends fast!

Shahar and Danielle had a traditional Jewish ceremony, which doesn’t include personalized vows, so they opted to read their own vows to each other during dinner! Since they experience the world through food together and love trying new foods, both Danielle and Shahar talked about food in their vows to each other. And even though they wrote them in private, both vows included that they would share more bites of food with one another. That’s true love, right there! (If you know me, you know that sharing my food means you have my heart.)

To these beautiful newlyweds, thank you for allowing me to document your day! I hope you are sharing all of the foods on your honeymoon, and cannot wait to hear about your adventures <3
